What assets you can add to Ruki

The full list, and how each one is valued. If you have something that isn't here, write to us at info@rukiportfolio.com: several of the ones listed were added because someone asked for them.

Equities

ETFs

Funds that trade on an exchange. They aren't an asset class in themselves: Ruki groups them by what's inside. A stock ETF goes to Equities, a bond ETF to Fixed income, and gold, silver, oil or crypto ETFs to Other — the same as if you held the asset directly.

Fixed income

The last two aren't a separate asset type in Ruki: you choose them as a bond and the price is resolved the same way.

Fixed-term instruments

A borrower-side caución is borrowed money: it's leverage. That's why it doesn't add, it subtracts — Ruki treats it as debt, what you see is your net worth and the return is measured on your own capital, not on the total position. In both cases it calculates what you'll receive or pay and lets you know when they mature.

Funds and crypto

Each subscription and each redemption is valued at the NAV per share of the day you made it, not today's.

How each one is valued

Everything ends up expressed in dollars, or in euros if your region is Europe. What changes is the path:

AssetHow it gets to dollars
CEDEARDollar price of the stock it represents, divided by its ratio
Argentine stock and Argentine ADRIts price in pesos, divided by the CCL
Bond, ON and FCI in pesosIts price in pesos, divided by the MEP
Fixed-term deposit and caución in pesosDivided by the MEP
US stock, ETF, crypto and FCI in dollarsThey already trade in dollars: no conversion needed

A CEDEAR represents a stock that already has a dollar price abroad, and the ratio says what fraction of that stock one certificate is.

An Argentine stock trades in pesos on BYMA, so expressing it in dollars takes an exchange rate. The CCL is a market exchange rate that comes from instruments trading both in Argentina and abroad at the same time, and Ruki uses it to convert any Argentine stock to dollars, whether or not it trades abroad.

Some bonds and corporate bonds that trade only in dollars don't go through the MEP: their price is already in dollars.

And one note that applies to everything: the table is how what you hold today is valued. What you paid in pesos at the time is recorded with that transaction's exchange rate, which is what later makes it possible to know how much that particular purchase returned.

And what happens to your assets

Besides purchases and sales, you add the events that happen to them:

One clarification

Ruki records these instruments: it doesn't buy them, sell them, hold them in custody or recommend any of them. You trade at your broker, and here you understand how you did.

Add yours and see how much each one returned.
